Apple Chai Spice Granola

 
Today is a big accomplishment for me! This is my 1000th post on this blog! 
Wow time has flown by. Thank you all for reading, commenting, and making my day brighter. Can't wait until it is post number 2,000!

A couple days ago I brought you some Chai Latte Scones. I am on a Chai kick. I can't help it. I want to get as much of these fall flavors in my mouth before Spring hits. Yes, I can eat and drink these flavors year round to, but I tend to stick with flavors of the seasons when I can. 

This Granola is mild, but full of Chai flavor. You can add your favorite nuts, dates, raisins, whatever you like. I left the recipe plain because everyone has different likes and allergies. Just stir in your favorite add-ins and cook like regular. This is my favorite topped on some Homemade Vanilla Greek Yogurt.

Apple Chai Spice Granola

3 1/2 cups rolled oats
3/4 cup applesauce
1/3 cup agave nectar
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla 

Preheat oven to 350. 
Mix all dry ingredients in one bowl. 
In another bowl mix in the wet ingredients. Combine wet to dry until well mixed and then place onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 25 minutes. Pull the trays out, stir everything around and place back in the oven for another 15 minutes or until the granola looks crispy.
